okay, this may sound a little dumb, but i dont have a rule book at my disposal.

lets pretend i have a book of arkhen (bound iteam power level 3) and i cast it. Does it automaticaly cast? And if so, can it be dispelled, and what needs to be rolled to dispell it? I thought i knew but then my freind "corrected" me. Help me out, before im taken advantage by any more people with rule books!

    thanks from your freind,

    God.

Bound items are dispelled if you roll equal to or more than their power level with your dispel dice.

Bound items automatically cast each turn, but also keep in mind that some bound items can go wrong, and quite often if they are used, the user has to roll d6 to check to see if they can use it for the rest of the battle as well.

    Hope that this helps.

hold on im still a little confused...so with the book of arkhen (power level 3, remember) to dispell it you have to roll a 3 or less on a dispell die? that kinda licks.

No, you have to roll 3 or better to dispel it. Too easy!

Therefore, you should throw other spells before you use the bound spell items, so that he has no dispel dice left when you use the bound items!

Or use the bound items to eat through his dispel dice so that you can get a bigger / more crucial spell off later without it getting dispelled!
