I have a few questions relating to positioning of units in CC.
First, I know base contact must be maximized, but beyond that who chooses how the unit is positioned? For example, a horde of small bases vs a 5 front of small bases, 3 of the horde's models will not be in contact. How do you determine which models these are? Does the charger get to decide which 'part' of the front he charges, or how to position his unit in relation to the other?
Second, as models are lost in CC, I know they come off the back, but who chooses beyond that? What if the unit only has the front rank left? In circumstances where it might be advantageous to have models from one side or the other come off first, who decides?
Third, as a part of the reform after a combat round, can either unit reform to take models out of contact? If two 5 frontages are fighting, and one decides after a round to reform into a horde, can the reforming unit choose to push any characters out of the combat by having them on the end of the unit where the other unit is not in contact? Conversely, can the other unit 'shift' over as a combat reform to compensate?
Thanks. Looking to protect characters in CC.
Thx a ton
