    Can Large Targets be screened?

Can lets say for example, warhounds or a band of Chaos Knights screen a Manticore if they are directly between the Manticore and the archers?

    Any cover modifiers? LOS problems?

If not, is there anyway to protect large targets without a giant tower for it to hide behind?

cannonballs stop if they bounce through a fence, or if it hits a troll and doesnt kill the beast.
Units of knights have to obscure the sight to the manticore for about 50%+ to give it a hard cover against archers.

Large Targets never get cover modifiers from Obstacles (fences, etc). If true line of sight shows more than half of the model is hidden by units in the middle (friend or foe) then the model gets Hard Cover (see pg. 44). I think it's unlikely hounds would cover up half of the Manticore (think vertically as well), but knights might. Your Manticore could also hide in or behind a forest (soft cover) or, yeah, behind a building.
    Honey badger don't care.
