I'm just relearning WHFB after ~15 years away from the game and I'm looking at the diceofdoom thread on WE strategy (here)
If I try to move my skirmishers around a unit, and they turn to face me, whats preventing them from charging my skirmishers?
when it´s my turn (im the goblins you´re the wood elf poopiepants skirmishers hiding behind me) i could do a swift reform to turn in your direction, BUT that comes AFTER declaring charges. So my charge phase has allready been. All that remains is i can try shoot you (don't worry i wont hit you) and hope next turn i can charge maybe.
movement summary (page 15)
2. compulsory moves
3. remaining moves (this is where you turn a unit or make swift reforms.)
Warchief Diggah o da Bloodmoon Squiggahs
The fact that you have to declare a charge before moving or turning a unit. Which means, you have at least another round to either get clear of the unit or charge them yourself.
