The Diadem of Power lets me save two dispel/power dice for use in the next magic phase. At the end of my magic phase, I can use (always, not item dependant) unused power dice as dispel dice to try to dispel enemy spells that remain in play. Can I use 1 of my three power dice, then save the other two as dispel dice for use in my opponent's magic phase?
When exactly are unused power/dispel dice discarded? Are all dice usually discarded at the end of each magic phase? Or maybe dispel dice are discarded at the end of my opponent's magic phase, and power dice are discarded at the end of my magic phase?
In your Magic phase, you get X number of Power Dice. You use up a certain number casting spells, then decide you can't use any more, or you might use them to dispel Remains in Play spells. Normally the excess Power dice would be discarded after your Magic phase, but the DoP as you say lets you store them instead...
So the following enemy Magic phase, you get your normal # of Dispel dice PLUS the stored ones from the DoP that you didn't use in your previous Magic phase. You now have lots of Dispel dice to use against his nasty spells. At the end of this phase, you might find you have some Dispel dice left over, so instead of discarding them as normal, you place them (up to 2, anyway), into the DoP...
Now in your next Magic phase you get your normal # of Power dice, PLUS the stored ones from the DoP that you didn't need from the opponent's last Magic phase.
This was rather long-winded, but I hope it makes sense.

So the dice are kept apart, yes? As in, whatever phase you save the dice in, that's where they have to be used the next turn. So no keeping dispel dice and using them as power dice next turn.
Think so... but that's kinda what I'm asking here =] I read in some other forum about someone using the black periapt to save their opponent's dice to use for himself! Is that right? Can I do that with the Diadem of Power?Originally posted by mEGALOMANIAC@Dec 7 2004, 20:59

No, Diadem is definitely only your own dice. No stealing from the enemy, sadly.
