I know this may seem stupid but I don't understand. The beserker sword gives me the unit strength of an enemy halved additional attacks. I get that part. What I don't get is what is the unit strength of most enemies.
Is a unit of swordsmen the same unit strength as a unit of knights?
Is the unit strength equal to the ammount of wounds the enemy has?
First law of science: don't spit into the wind
I dont know what the berserker sword is (some chaos thingie?)
But US(Unit Strenght) is a very important part of the game.
Regular FOOT troops with ONE wound have US of one per model.
So a unit of 20 swordsmen has a US of 20.
Ogres, Krox, Trolls, Ushabti has three wounds. So they have a US of 3 per model.
War machines have US 1PER CREW!!!!
Skirmishers always have US one per model!!!
Characters have US 1 if on a normal base (little).
lot of exceptions... reaad the start of the rule book
And mounted models(knights) have a US of 2 per model.
EDIT : KNIGHTD
Green is good
Note that the Berzerker sword only gives an extra attack for unit strength of models in base contact, so against 20 orcs you would get an extra one or two attacks not an extra 20.
The rulebook has a table of various unit strengths of things and any that aren't there are in the appropriate army book, I agree it can be annoying and confusing try to work it out sometimes... Just remember any foot troops have one and cavalry have 2, that is the main things.
