Hi everyone. After seeing all the new High Elf Commander minis my favourite would definitelly be the White Lion Commander/Prince with an axe. However, this axe limits him to only a great weapon or a hand weapon under the technical rules, no? Seeing as I'm horrible at converting it will sstay an axe too. Though obviously great weapons aren't bad I would prefer to mix and match with magic items everyonce and a while.
My question to you is, is it legal to use a another weapon as a common magical sword? (a hammer, an axe, etc.) I even rember this happening in one WD battle report, where one priest had a Hat of Skaven Salying instead of the Helm of Skaven Slaying... Thanks in advance for replying to my question.
Yes perfectly fine. You'll find many do this, as long as the character has a suitably modelled weapon there should be no complaints.
well magic weapons. ie sword of striking and might or whatever are just like prefex's arnt they?
a sword of striking could be a great sword of striking or an axe.
Alright, that's what I thought/was hoping for. Thanks for your help King Ulrik and Griffon.
