can i upgrade chaos warriors to chosen in a skirmish game
and wat about marks how do they work or are they not included at all?
yes i am aware that i will not have alot of troops i was thinking of taking say
3 normal and 2 chosen to act as a solid core and then fleshhounds running round the sides
lets agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours are
I'm pretty sure you can upgrade your warriors to chosen, can't see any reason why not. Each model is individually upgraded to chosen in a normal game anyway, and as models form units on their own in skirmish, it's a simple matter to just upgrade the models you want. However, by the letter of the rules, only one unit of chaos warriors in the army can be upgraded to chosen, and technically that means only one model in a skirmish game. But you could agree with your opponent to allow you to upgrade 50% of your warriors to chosen, or something like that.
On the subject of marks, there is a similar problem. You can give marks of chaos to as many units (that are allowed them) as you want. However, because each model is a separate unit, and marks are bought per unit, you'll be paying out a lot of points just for marks. Even the cheapest mark will probably cost more than the model you're giving it to. Again, ask your opponent if you can pay once for a mark, and have it apply to all of your warriors/knights/etc.
However, there is another problem with skirmish that I've noticed.
Even in a skirmish game you have to take at least one hero to lead your force, and with chaos that can be a real problem! The cheapest mortal hero being an Aspiring champion at 80 points, with only a sword and armour to his name! Beastman Wargors are cheaper though, but obviously not what you want.
Once again, ask your opponent about leaving characters out of skirmish games, because otherwise your force is going to be even smaller than you thought!

You can upgrade a warrior or something to a champion and use him as your general.Originally Posted by Tzeentch_Lord
