I'm relatively new to the game and always thought that any spell you cast required LOS unless it said otherwise.
Then some vet told me that 'No', it's just the opposite. Unless it specifically says you require LOS (includes all Magic Missile spells) you DON'T need LOS.
I asked the reference in the rulebook and nor he or I could find it.
So which is it? If he's right, I've been hosing myself for a long time.
indeed spells as default do not need LOS unless it says so. this is what makes magic a little bit too powerful at the moment in my opinion but until the 7th edition it stands
spambot kill tally: 79
[16:19] <@Alzer> Arky's right though
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> I know he is.
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> He usually is.
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> Sometimes it's intentional.
[00:01] <+zubus> i love you, ya skirt wearin nothern monkey! ^_^
Wait so any non Magic Missile spells that do not clearly state "requires line of sight" do not need line on sight?? wow cool.
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I have been hosing myself a lot then.
7th edition? I thought all these rule changes were just speculation.
lol no, the 7th edition rule book is real & confirmed, depending what country you are in, it should be hitting the shelves within 12 months.Originally Posted by Laplace

I know the 7th edition is real (it says so on GW's website). What I'm not sure of is all these "the 7th edition will have this and that rule change in it". I would ask how they know this will be in the final print. Have they SEEN/felt/etc. a final copy? Did they talk with the author firsthand? Was it in a WD issue that said, "Look for these changes"?Originally Posted by DA_recruit
I agree that probably a lot of these "guesses" will make the final cut. But I just want to make sure these are substantiated, that's all. I keep hearing the words "minor changes" but honestly that's a very relative term. A minor change for one faction could mean a major one depending on their playstyle.
