Sorry if this is elsewhere, can you use magic while in combat?
i wish to know this so i can decide wether to put my orc shaman on a boar with my unit so i can get the extra dice from combats around him.
Also, no one is helping me with my list  , i would appreciate any and all comments and suggestions, so if you can help please got to Here (PLEASE HELP! New to FB! second attempt at O&G List!)
Thanks in advance for any help,
Yes, as long as a spell is not classified as a Magic Missile, it may be cast in close combat.
Note, however, that most spells can't be cast on the opposing unit you're in contact with (Unless the spell says you can cast the spell into combat). Also, the Line of Sight of a warrior in melee is SEVERELY limited.
Of course, there are many spells with decent range and no LOS requirements. It's perfectly legal to use those to keep enemy units hanging near the combat on their toes.
Use Light, Beasts, Metal instead of Heavens
NecroLords: Use at least one Death Mage
Brets: Use Peasants&Damsels
Skaven: Don't use Skryre SAD
Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated

just remember, although you can still can when in close combat, you cant spells INTO a close combat unless the spell says you can. so, for example, although conflagation of doom does not need line of sight, you cant cant cast it into close combat.
