First question is about the Amulet of protectyness or however they misspelt it. You get the armour and ward save of the model doing the wound. That seems clear enough. However what happens if the ward save of the model hitting you is conditional, such as only vs magic weapon, or only when hit by str 5 or higher.
What I mean is a lizard man character with str 4 and a 4+ save vs str 5 and higher attacks hits an Orc char with str 5. The lizardman player would get a 4+ ward against the orcs attack, but would the Orc steal the ward save now that the lizardman has it, or would he take all the rules that go along with it and thus not be able to take it against the str 4 hit of the lizard man char?
Further question, the Tricksy Trinket says that models in base to base arn't allowed to take ward saves, however it does not say they LOSE the ward save. Thus could a goblin with both the tricksy trinket and the amulet of protectyness fighting a vampire with a +4 ward, both negate the vampires save, as the vampire isn't alowed to take it, but still steal it as the ward save isn't removed from the model?
Thanks for any help.
For your first question, I believe that the model would only get the ward save when the certain conditions are met.
For the second question, I believe that yes, you would be able to negate the ward save and use it also because the vampire isn't neccassarily losing the ward save, he just can't take it when in base-to-base contact with the character with the tricksy trinket, so yes, I think you're right on this one.
Some of the veterans may have better answers but there's my take on it.
