    Panic and overrun

Ok lets say I am in combat and I break a unit, they flee and I overrun into a unit behind them. At the end of combat round I check for panic and see that the unit I overran into is within 6 inches of the original combat so they test for panic and flee too. Now do I chase them 2d6 (or 3d6) or do I finish whatever I had left over during the overrun? As it is a new combat I would think it is a roll but that could make one unit move a long long way in one turn, or am I messing up the order of checking for panic?

You take the panic test as soon as the friendly unit breaks, not at the end of the phase. So therefore the situation you describe can't happen .

Thats right, even if you took it at the end of the phase, as units in close combat are now immune to psychology.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
