    Dwarf Slayers + SoC Slayers

When fighting against a Dark Elf player he said he was using magic items from the SoC Dark elf list but using the normal army list from dark elves army book and I believe him but im wondering, can I use slayer abilities for my slayer characters in an ordinary dwarf army specifically Skavenslayer. I don't own the book so I cannot check for myself.

The Dark Elf player was correct, the Storm of Chaos book does state that normal Dark Elf armies are allowed to use the new magic items, but the book says nothing about the Slayers skills. It doesn't say slayers in a normal Dwarf armies can't have the slayer skills, but then it doesn't say they can either (unlike the Dark Elf magic items). However, unless your opponent(s) had any real objection, I dont see why your slayers can't take the slayer skills in a normal Dwarf army.
