    shooting fleeing troops?

I was just wondering if you could shoot at fleeing troops. I believe you can charge fleeing troops and if you catch them they automatically kill the whole unit right? so are you allowed to shoots at a fleeing unit and if you cause one causualty, then the unit is destroyed? It seems like a possibility...thanks guys!

Quite so. There isn't much more fun than shooting a bunch of fleeing cowards in the back.

You can shoot at fleeing troops, but they are only destroyed if you whipe them all out with shooting. However if you get them below 25 % of their starting number they can't rally, so that could be an incentive to shoot the runners.

Yes, as pointed out in the rulebook on page 19 under Rally Fleeing Troops, if less than 25% of a unit is left it can't rally.

You can shoot fleeing troops, the procedure is the same as if you were shooting the unit while they were not fleeing. However, one wounding hit does not destroy the whole unit! Never assume rules that don't actually exist!

Going on from that, if you can't find a rule it doesn't exist. If the rulebook doesn't say that you can't shoot fleeing troops, all the normal rules apply.

There are no hidden nuggets in there.

Thanks all for the clarification. Wan't trying to make up a rule  was just checking, since i have been hesitant to shoot at fleeing troops, i never read a rule but it seems plausable that you wouldn't be able to since fleeing troops are in such dissarray (or at a pentalty). *shrugs* its easy to miss rules such a large rule book :w00t:

    thanks again
