So i went into the GW yesterday to buy a small warhammer army to start me out.

heres what i came to get: 1 box of warriors, 1box of maruaders, armybook 80$ about

after talking to an employe and being 'persuaded'; I ended up getting. 2 boxes of warriors, 2 boxes of maruaders, 1 box of beastmen, chaos knights, centagors, foundation paints, hobby supplies, a bunch of movement trays, both armybooks. 400$

LOL. I'm a sucker.:shifty:
I'm still confused how this happened. I really don't remeber it that well, do you think they spiked by cola?

How on earth did that happen!? This one time this GW guy was like "GET WHITE DWARF" and i just pretended to break my neck with my own hands and he was like ":S". Try that next time

Ahhh, Koss my friend, you have obviously been tempted by the very powers of Slaanesh him/herself. This GW employee you speak of is in in the thrall of the the Prince of pleasure, and now so are you! Forever will it rend you soul with perverse desires (i.e. to buy more miniatures!)

On a more serious note:)...

Those tricky GW employees are often like that. I learned long ago that if I was to spend any time in my local GW store I would have to be able to say 'no' quite firmly. This was especially true of the foundation paints, which got offered to me numerous times when they were on advanced order.

At the end of the day its no big tragedy unless you let it happen again. Models do not 'go off' so you can simply not buy anything else until all your current models are stuck together and painted. Thats the theory anyway, and one that I have major difficulty sticking to sometimes:).

A good army though.

Marauders, can take the brunt.
The Warriors provide the main force.
The Centigors and Knights can flank and smash.
And the beastmen and hide in the trees and pick off the stragglers.

Enjoy the lovely chaosy of it, so many options, so much choice and versatility.

Well he COULD, but it would mean that he would return to the store and I just know that he will end up with even more minis when he walks home! :D

well don't get me wrong, I'm happy with my new army... but my wallet isn't. LOL:D When i told my mom i bought a new army and told her how much it cost she nearly lost it...:O

All though, I don't remeber buying two boxes of maruaders and i don't really want the chaos knights(I wish i had gotten more centigors instead.:yes: cuase they look much cooler.)

yeah, Karmoon is right (omg mods can only be right about rules, and whatever the forums about never mental issues!) or they spiked your cola, but I think they've used the hive mind to control you, now if you have children and they're anything like a genestealer....

Wow, I find this very amusing. Mostly because I've done something like it before. I went in for some Skeletons, came out with a Hardback Blue Book and a box of CSM.

But that has never happened to me since than. I have learned that by simply saying, "I'd love to, but I have no more money." they leave you alone. Infact, they practically kick you out of the store. They're salesmen, they live off the stuff. They're like the brain-eating creature on Starship Troopers. When you have no more brain left (money), they dispose of you by feeding your body to the other bugs. Not the best analogy, but it will do.

I put a stop to this sort of thing by shopping on the internet for my GW stuff, its a lot easier than avoiding persistent staff members, trying to get you to buy the latest stuff or telling how cool th next new release will be

I frequently walk into a GW store, forget what I desperately needed, and buy something I didn't. Like when I had no Boltgun Metal and needed more... I couldn't remember, I walked out with a pot of Sunburst Yellow. SUNBURST F%&#ING YELLOW.

WHAT THE F%&# AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW?

Oh well. Maybe I'll do some gold NMM or something.
