Here's the latest Slayer Sword winner.

I couldn't find any pics of other entries but I'm sure they'll turn up.

I like this figure and I like that it won without any gimics or trendy painting styles. It really is just a very nicely painted figure with excellent use of colour.

What do you lot think?

PS- If someone can teach me to link directly to another page's pictures then that would make me happy.

I've always been a fan of simple paint schemes. In the hands of a good painter, they really shine through.

It is very nice, yes, though I wouldn't say gimmick-less...

If you want to link/post those pictures directly, right click on the link and "copy link" (or "copy link location"), which you can then paste as normal.
Alternatively, you can open the image in a new window (right click -> open in new window) and copy the URL from the address bar at the top.

If you put [IMG] tags around this, you should be able to post it as normal.

Doing what -t said but removing a "download/popup.htm?/" bit from the address.

Yeah, I can see evidence of a few fancy tricks. However, they're not overly fancy and the standard looks like something I could one day replicate with sufficient time and practice (yeah, right), which gives me hope that I might not be a completely lost cause :P.

I have to agree with all the forespeakers... a very fine and clean painting job.

One thing though... there isn't a hope to tell us a thing or two for the conversion he has done eh? :shifty:

Well... I can spot NMM. That's a fancy style. -__^ It is a nice mini, the freehand works well and the overall look is good. But he is done in NMM, which I still do believe that to stand a chance at a daemon these days you are required to paint using this method.

That said, congrats to the painter on winning a Slayer Sword and a fine mini.

Yes, it is a very spanky mini. Very nice. Though I have to disagree on NMM. I think the novelty has worn off and metalics are comming back. Though, in a very tight competition NMM may make the difference.
