It's just a suggested combo, it's not actually any cheaper than buying all of the elements separately.
If you don't want what they are putting together then it makes sense to just buy the boxes you want.

sure it's a nice set, but it's not a good one to start with, no solid core units like Spearmen and/or Silver Helms? not good for someone starting the army.
is it me. or is that High Elf Lord on dragon missing somthing? i think it hasn't got the bulk to be one, but hey, that's just me...

I love the new dragon, though I doubt I'm gonna be buing one of those Spearhead sets. It's just basically like the Masters of the Chapter for Apocalyse. Lots of Characters but not enough to make an army.
And I'd have to see the rules for the Specail Characters before I even considered buying one of them.

It is obviously the box aimed at people who already have a decent sized army from 6th edition, and just want to get the new models. Good idea in theory, but it only saves 2 pounds from buying seperately. They could have made it better. I don't want shadow warriors or special characters.

i never realised it wasnt a saving i was going to invest in that set just for the sexy new models.
But i want all th models save for the shadow warriors do i dont know!!!!!!8X
