Greetings, most respected fellow commanders!
I came up with the idea of collecting material for a gigantic "mathhammer tactica" in the sense of a collection of articles dealing with probability calculations for certain game contexts.
I guess there will only be a few who will even be interested in this, but with those I shall gladly share the works I have done so far. I recently find myself writing up a lot of "mathhammer guides" currently working on a guide far more detailed than the two I am offering here covering the topic of deep-striking. Those of you who have read this thread (http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/showthread.php?t=105736) know in which direction it aims, but it comes with some additional considerations (one being that the risk of deep-striking is not only that of not arriving exactly where you intended, but also not exactly when you intended, thus I provide the probabilities for passing the reserves roll at a specific time during the game, etc).
The two smaller articles I regard as finished for the most part (even though not yet revised) are:
average numbers of glancing and penetrating hits with various Space Marine weaponry versus different AVs (http://www-nw.uni-regensburg.de/~.sim18942.2.stud.uni-regensburg.de/busting_tanks.pdf)
and
chances of covering specific distances within difficult terrain (http://www-nw.uni-regensburg.de/~.sim18942.2.stud.uni-regensburg.de/difficult_terrain.pdf)
