hmm, think the vargulf is actually pretty nice. its the grave guard that i think look....odd. it may just be the picture though

Nah - all three are nice. Sculpts are also cool looking. And they are plastic? Even better?

Mannfred is cool but, as Twohats had already said, that sword arm looks out of control there

Vargulf is good but not that good

the Grave Guard looks great and by far the best looking models i've seen in a while. if they could be plastic, they'll be even better :)

I think this is true, too. Weren't there pics of unpainted ones floating around. If they are metal, then that would be a huge missed opportunity.

Pretty sure they said GG are gonna be plastic at GDUK, and they are pretty nice models too. Still think the Nightmare's head looks too big :P

Ah I was going to start collecting VC soon, probably after christmas, think this may be able to make me force myself to hold off for a bit!

After seeing those Graveguard I'm seriously considering a vampire counts army.

why do the grave guard bodies look like flagellant bodies to me?

it might sound odd, but they look a bit messy to me. I have always imagined Vampires to be quite fussy about their looks.

They are corpses returned from the dead in a shambeling horde, they dont exactly have time to scrub up lol!!!

and i think the vamp would look a lot better in his castle socialiseing rather than in the field of battle.

Those Grave Guard are indeed amazingly cool. And look at the sword that guy's got, it's huge! thats why he's buff, claymore one handed baby

Very nice, I especially like the bat-like thingy.

Just a point I want to make, but have you ever noticed the difference in how the VC are portrayed in fluff as opposed to their models. They always are portrayed as looking and acting in a very human manner, as being pale and aloof. Even when they fight, it is usually with weapons of human design and size. But if I saw one of those models, I'd sure as hell know they were not human. Just something I thought I'd remark on.

Im not sure about cost, but the will likely run around 11 pts and cost in $ about as much as black orcs do ( that means theres going to be most likely a Limited 20 man set that is cheaper than buying 2 boxes of 10) this is not for certain, but im just taking a guess according to what GW has been doing with other armies.

As for the models, i think they are awesome, which is enough to make me want to start the army, so far i only have "good" races, and the VCs seem a cool evil badass army to me..im in!, lets hope the army set doesnt suck, and give us a cool special edition model !
