Since GW has LOTR Warhammer out, why don't they make Matrix warhammer aswell. Nothing beats a awesome looking army of Smith's

Would be way to uniform, no variation whatsoever. I have seen an ork who looks like he's in bullet time though :P

But have you thought how much would they have to pay for the copyright?

BIG money...

And how many models would there actually be. I mean Neo, Trinity, Morphious, Smith, Sentinals, Innocent bystanders, Normal Agents, The twins. It would have to be like that game where the models have like 84 BS and stuff.

You can easily play matrix games using the =][= system. There are even rules in exterminatus magazine nr 6. on icorperating bullet-time into your games.

M WS BS S T W I LD
10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10

Special rules:

I can't lose:
Allway wins a combat....

Actually the one can lose, as the agent put it - 'only human'. As we see in reloaded he is cut by the sword.

He would be more like

Ws 7 Bs 7 S 6 T 6 W 5 I 8 A 5 Ld 10

Also it would have to be scenario based, probably based on Neo escaping within a certain amount of time. A while ago I was working on stats and special abilities that the characters have. They used Warhammer stats but had focus points, a bit like Lotr might points except whenever one was used they gave a special ability. I'll post them if anyone wants to see them.

Sounds awesome. I think the inquisitor system would be best for matrix though, as the damage system is superior to any other system I've encountered.

Inquisitor would be perfect! There really aren't many units to use. Unless you watch Revolutions, you can have a human Zion army with rocket launchers and APU's (heck yeah) as well as a robot army of drillers and sentinels. Neo, Trinity, Morpheus, etc. can be heroes. That would be a way. Sounds similar to LOTR. blech. Hope they make cool rules. If they ever get a Matrix liscence, which i doubt. Remember, LOTR is English as well, while Matrix is all American.

If they did make a matrix warhammer I would buy it, sounds like a good idea.

<Toastee>Mr Kovash dude, please read and follow the forum rules, writing in caps is looked down upon, and you have been warned already. Please do not do it again. Thanks </Toastee>

A matrix warhammer?

....would be rubbish.
Come on, you know the story already! What would be the point?

With LoTR you have big battle scenes, death, fighting HYOOOOGE (Yes I mean huge :P) Armies. so its understandable as to why there is a GW game, but the matrix?

Now dont bring up the final Zion battle, in a GW game? No, I doubt it would work at all, not now that the story seems pretty much over. I can MAYBE see it becoming a game like Warhammer quest, but 40k style nope.

As for the storys. Nah, the matrix has been in the public aye too much, one of the reasons I can lose myself in the 40k world is that not everyone I meet is talking about it. Its also more wide open than the matrix, which means I can easily sit back and enjoy myself with my thoughts over a good BL novel.
(Yes, GW owns my soul...I fully lost that when I bought shares :P)

I'd recreate the twins/wraiths of Reloaded, and this time they won't suck!
