Well i tried to keep it versatile and still full of magic, since its the kinda style im gonna prefer so thanks in advance for any useful help :) Auere December 3rd, 2007, 16:24 I am no much into magic heavy armies, but I can help correct some minor flaws...
First of all, its nearly impossible to read that army list! It took me a while to figure it out...
- You cant use two of the same magic items for your characters. (like enchanted shield, chaos armour)
- Beastmen characters cant use "enchanted" items, so that obviously rules out an enchanted shield, I guess. (BoC rulebook p. 62)
- You might consider making one of your beastherds "combat-able", like 25 high with standart, now that you dont have any other ranked units.
- When using a Tzeentch beastlord you could consider "The Goretooth" magic item. With your amount of power dices your opponent will quickly run out of scrolls and dices. This will give you an oppotunity to cast bears anger on your general, turning him into a regular demi-god :-). 7 strength 7 attacks with reroll... That is compareable to a Bloodthirster.
- Minotaurs clearly work the best with great weapons. The increase from 3 to 4 attacks using 2 hand weapons isnt worth alot. If you want diversity, exchange the 2 hand weapon minotauers for 3 ogres with heavy armour, shield and hand weapon. They can really take a beating.
- Isnt 3 units of 7 warhounds a bit many? I would go for 2 units of 5 and use the spare points for something better. Lledwey December 3rd, 2007, 17:58 Not being able to use enchanted items refers to the actual type of magic item, so its not "enchanted" items, its just enchanted items as in the category of magic item that most armies have. the enchanted shield is magic armor, the fact that it is named enchanted does not actually mean anything. Leite December 3rd, 2007, 19:09 Ok here comes the army already modified and trying to keep the general line but improving on the aspects that where so kindfully pointed. 8Y

Also any further hints and criticism would be apreciated. thanks. Phoenix December 3rd, 2007, 20:37 I think the 10/16 Beast herds are far too big. Id say that the Mino units really need to be 4 strong each, so try and find some points for the 4th Minos.
Also wondering why you have just 2 Mortal Characters and 1 mortal unit. If its for the Lore of Fire then fair enough.
Otherwise, looks pretty good. Auere December 3rd, 2007, 23:22 I think that you should define the purpose of the beastherds...
If you want a beastherd that can support main characters and actually fight ranked units:
- 7 gors, 16 ungors (st, mus, foe-re) + characters
If you want a beastherd to hunt down other skirmishers and light troops and screen I would say:
- 5 gors, 8 ungors (mus, foe-re)
If you want a beastherd to marsch block and assault war mashines go for:
- 5 gors, 5 ungors (foe-re)
In your case I would go for one big, two medium and one small perhaps :P You can use the supplus points to add the fourth minotaur... just a suggestion. Leite December 4th, 2007, 01:13 K then guys so i followed your advice's and decided also what would my different regiment's would be doing in the field, so here comes another post to try and smooth some still rough edges. Once again thanks for all the input.;)

Also another reason for the Chaos Chariot is so it can be marked instead of Minos and cause its better then a tuskgor one imo. Auere December 4th, 2007, 09:46 looks good! Phoenix December 10th, 2007, 20:43 Looks good. Armour of Damnation is a better option or the Blord than AoTsouls if you can afford it. | |
