When are Beastmen going to be updated?

As far as rumors go im afraid it could be quite a while, we are probably looking at 2years ish given VC, DE, HoC, possibly CD, are rumoured. Hopefully we will get some newer models soon though. I heard rumors of plastic Minotaurs a while back, not sure how official they were though.

i always wanted to get minotaurs but the metal blisters are quite expensive, but minotaurs being plastic would really make them popular and just awesome. At the moment i have a 1000 point army with really no big monsters yet, but hoping to get some.

Chaos is coming out in May, according to the latest White Dwarf. Will that be only Demons, or will they go ahead and release Beasts, too? I have no idea.

Plus, there are the seemingly unlimited LOTR supplements to be released, there's the 40K 5th Ed, the SM Codex, the DE COdex, the Guard Codex, the 'Crons Codex, and Skaven are after CDs IIRC.

Beasties won't be out for a while. At least 2-3 years. They don't really need it IMO, just a few tweaks here and there (such as what was mentioned and that Gors/Ungors should have smaller bases just my opinion and maybe introduce Braylings- let me here a massed "awwwww").

I find it unlikely that Beasties will be joining them for release, any more than HoC will.

The only real tweak I can think of is changing raiders to 5 wide instead of 4. I really don't have any problem with the power of the army, but by the time they come out in 2-3 years the powercreap might mean that they get a bump up.

My biggest issue with the army is the monster-sized models, minotaurs and dragon ogres look awful.

Convert some Rat Ogres? I have seen some really nice work done that way.

Agreed. They are still old style fantasy, slightly cartoony.
As I said, Plastic Minotaurs may be on their way. If thats true then given the GW model 'quality' (i.e they look cool) at the moment then these things should be awesome.

As for Dragon Ogres, i like them from the waist down. Ironguts are providing the Torsos.

I agree, the only thing that stopped me from collecting a BoC army when they came out were the monster units, the minotaurs and chaos ogres were my most hated models at that time.(pretty close now)

I still really like the ungor, gor and 2 types of bestigor that came out with the current edition, but the dragon ogres, minotarus and chaos undecided bestigors need a good kick up the backside.

I would also like the ability to give everyone a chaos mark, so nurgle gors and ungors and not just a few selected units. All Beasts of chaos are completly chaotic and this should be reflected imo.

I would also like some more... je ne sais quoi... soul. If i compare the current or even previous VC amrybook with the BoC book it just so much more juicy and involved, the BoC, to me, is a bit too clinical.

I would love to see redesigned and plastic minotaurs. The current models just don't do it for me at all. Neither to Dragon Ogres. The rest of the BoC models look amazing, IMHO.
