Im going to delpoy in a solid lump at one side and let the eldar encirle me. allowing me to pick my targets when they present them selves, but they will face the full wrath of my entire army at once.

I will lash first turn or first chance and pull the farseer jetbike squad or the warp spiders, which ever presents itself first, out into the open for loves and kisses from both the raptors and lord squad along with the daemon prince. Short work. then follow into hunting the other unit.

Predators will concentrate on the bright lance speeders first then onto the other transports, opening them up for the dakka pred to blast the passengers apart. my rhinos will leap out to tackle any dismounting units with plasma fury or bolt pistols and boots dependent on which will suit me better, most likely the boot!

My terminators will DS into a nice spot to either present itself as an anoying taget or demolish a squad. It could even have a good go at the war walkers if needed.

I'm going with Danjones here. I think he has the solid firepower to muscle the Eldar out.

I think Dan has the firepower and the utility to edge this one. I see him using the lash to draw that seer council out into the open and pound them into dust. Lend to that the fact that the eldar list only has a single brightlance and victory shall be his...

Well, after 2 rounds of favourable missions it figures I'd get stuck with a tough one. Dan has a very good plan for dealing with my force, turtling to force me to come to him and not have the option of isolating his units one at a time. Combine that with the Lash and I'm in for a very rough time.

So, if he won't come to me, I won't come to him either. The only advantages I can see going for me are a good amount of LOS blocking cover, having last turn and getting to see Dan's tactics before posting my own; I plan to use these to their fullest and play a defensive game. If Dan plans to sit in his deployment zone, I'll do likewise, hiding behind the two forests. Everyone will sit in their transports, the Warp Spiders (and possibly War Walkers) will wade into the forest closest to Dan (making sure to stay 6 inches from the edge) and the Jet Bikes will turboboost back and forth from one forest to the other.

If the Terminators pop in they'll get a free round of shooting at whatever they want before being destroyed by the rest of my army (roughly 70 S6 shots, plus a few at higher strengths should do it). On turn 5 I'll start moving forward, making sure to jump behind the second set of trees and still stay out of Line Of Sight. Last turn I jump forward another 12 inches, disembark everyone, step out from behind cover (in the case of the War Walkers) and shoot with everything, safe from reprisal.

Is it sneaky? Yes. Is it cowardly? Yes. Is it boring? Yes. Will it work? Almost certainly. Even with the damage the Terminators might inflict when they come in, I should be able to do enough damage last turn to just eek out a Solid Victory.

If my hanging back causes Dan to abandon his plan and start moving towards me then I'm once again in a position to use my speed as an advantage, drawing his units out, isolating them and taking them out one at a time. The Daemon Prince would be an early target (as the Lash is really dangerous), however one round of guided shooting by thew War Walkers should on average be enough to do 4 wounds to him, so taking him out shouldn't be too hard. The Vypers should have little trouble taking out the Rhinos and further limit his abilty to remain cohesive on the move. Otherwise, I'd target the faster units first and continue to use the forests to limit LOS as much as possible, putting him into the position he initially wanted to avoid (and rightly so).

Dan for the win. Eldar just dont have enough models to take casualties and there low toughness does not help much.

That lash thing is just a rediculous weapon.

destp's tactics and the mission definately favour him over Dan; staying back and making the chaos forces plays to his biggest advantages and avoids the eldar weakness of low toughness.

Like destp said, if he holds everything back and Dan sends in the terminators, then they will more than likely get wiped out from that large volume of fire with no guarentee that they take anything below scoring. That will immediately put destp ahead as far as the mission is concerned and being able to close up the game, destp doesn't even need to rush the enemy to go for more enemies if they haven't killed anything...:C (This damned old shades smiley sure likes to move around in the smiley box.)

Well, Dan had a solid strategy, but it only works if destp comes to him, which destp ain't doing...

With Dan deploying all on one side and probably having to forgo his plan and move forward, I believe DESTP will win.
