Greetings everyone! Happy new year?

A few changes have been lined up that we thought we'd share with ya'll. First up, we've made a few minor changes to the mod team. Both Grephaun and Phobos have left the staff team, deciding to focus upon their education. LO wishes them the best of luck, and will welcome them both back when they're ready. By no means have they left us for good - they're just taking a vacation.

Replacing Phobos, we've promoted Cyric the Mad. We know he'll do a bang up job.

We're still working on finding replacements for the Supermod and Green Mod positions that are coming open. Stay tuned for more information.

Additionally, this weekend, I'll be consolidating the Conversions and Modelling sections into a single sub-forum. I really don't see the point of having both of those, so we'll be making just a single 'Modelling' subforum. No threads will be lost, though not all will be moved over right away.

That's it from us for now. Happy 2008 everyone, and we look forwards to a great new year.

Good idea on combining those forums Cal. The modeling forum was never super active, but I think that the overall title of modeling is better than conversion as it covers both.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I'm excited about contributing more to L.O. and will strive to fill Karmoon's very large shoes in my respective forums.

Agreed. What's the bet that between the 17th and 21st (when I'll be drinking lemonade on the coast), something real big happens, like Subscriptions becoming free during that time period, or the site getting hacked or a $100 payout to all members who joined August 2006? Whenever I go away, something big happens.

No, the rumours of my desertion are greatly exaggerated. I’ll still be participating in this community as a common member when my schedule permits such leisurely pursuits, and if some day the need is great and time allows, I might return to the mod team as well. For now I leave the hard work to my worthy colleagues and stick to the occasional frolic in the fluff sections.

So fear not, you won’t be rid of me that easily; I still plan to attend this summer’s LO Meet in Nottingham too, so there will be ample opportunity for a lengthy chat on fluff and books and all things Warhammer that a grephaun enjoys.

And of course congratulations to the new members of the mod team; I’m delighted to see such worthy people continuing the fine traditions of this forum. Good job, guys. :)
