Does anyone have any fun or interesting suggestions as to what to replace the Adeptus Mechanicus Battleship bridge piece with? I recently ordered 2 Adeptus Mechanicus battleships and they were both missing their bridges. GW quickly replaced them (which I thank them for), but these two ships are missing the same piece. I imagine it is on the spru with the piece that is meant for the dorsal mid section towards the prow because I'm missing it as well. Am I just overlooking these pieces somehow or what? I would rather not bother GW again, and in the spirit of the Adeptus Mechanicus quest for knowledge I'm thinking of just coming up with my own designs for these pieces. Has anyone else had this problem? I might try coming up with something very alien to represent parts that the Adeptus Mechanicus are testing out, but I still want them to flow with the main ship design.
Thanks

So... I finally just called Games Workshop today and the CS rep said that the bridge piece somehow escaped the production process. Therefore, no bridge pieces are available at the moment. However, when they do become available (probably many months from now) then I should be able to call and just get those pieces sent to me. In the meantime, I'm thinking of using eldar/necron (and maybe even tyranid) pieces to make the missing pieces on a couple of the battleships that I have. The tyranid won't be tyranid, just living technology that the AM has found. Suggestions are welcome.

They knowingly sent you an incomplete model and told you that you could get the piece in a few months when they fix the mould?!? Oh wow, that is really really poor customer service, my dwindling respect for GW as a company has suffered again. I would be asking for a full refund from GW.
I haven't really looked too closely at the AM ships, but are they not similar to Imperium or Marine ships? Perhaps pieces from there would be closer than Nid. I can't really see the Imperium using living metal.

The 'living' material I am thinking about doesn't have to be Tyranid. It would seem possible in the far distant future to have a living nerve cluster/brain (that can itself be controlled) send commands to the rest of the ship. The point is they are testing new technology that might not be fully compatible. The possibility of making a very powerful battleship react quickly to being attacked (but still ultimately be controlled by the tech priests) seems interesting enough for the AM to try. If I don't use Tyranid looking pieces then I am going to at least modify some Eldar/Necron bits to flow somewhat with the battleship. It seems that whenever the Adeptus Mechanicus acquire a new piece of technology they can't help but try it out. I'll be sure to post some pictures once I get them assembled and painted.

HAHA! The Machine God Strikes Back.
I received my Adeptus Mechanicus Battleship (alongside a cruiser and a light cruiser) yesterday.
The Bridge is complete. Nothing Missing!
Hurray!
On the Light Cruiser: not worth its money in metal. Should be priced liked the CWE Wraithship at maximum. Also of all 3 AdMech vessel this one was the most bend, twisted and least fit of parts.
The Battleship was very well done.

Are you sure that all of the pieces are there that are shown in the picture on the website? I called them today and they said that it wasn't likely that they would get the mold changed to include those pieces shown on the website. Also, one piece that I am missing is the piece that goes on the dorsal side about 1/4 of the way FROM the prow.

Check the pictures in this thread:
iB::Topic::Woohoo! Got some AM ships! (http://www.tacticalwargames.net/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=41;t=10514;st=0)
here you see 'the missing pieces battleship'
Now, when I received my battleship it had an extra strip with attached to it the bridge part, a (bigger) nova cannon and a dorsal turret.
The Dorsal turret is the piece you are referring at.
So, I don't know how or why, but I got my pieces. I'll put on a pic soon.
