View Full Version : Radical Inquisitor Codex Please Deeth April 9th, 2004, 02:24 radical inquisitors are apparent in all codexes with the last word (hunter) out so far and alien hunter however I believe they never have been given proper rules sure ordo malleus radicals can take daemonhost but is it not a daemon host bound in sacred litanies preventing further release of power, along with this GW's forgotten radicals have uniqe henchmen for example soulguard being able to tranfer oncoming fire into warp vacumes in there bodies, cultis are also used from time to time as infentry,also the uses for daemonic weaponry are limited unless you play relictors and,radical hereticus inquisitors should have use of inslaved alpha+ level psykers they capture. for further info check out the eisonhorn trilogy the book ravenor the entry on quixos in the daemon hunters codex,the inquisitor the game entrys on radicals,and the story backcloth for a something(shrug)I forgot....in the compilation crucible of war. shadowcat April 9th, 2004, 02:35 You have to remember that there is a Lot of representation, for example the Untouchables and Pentient Witches both using the henchmen rules for "the pentient"
Soul Guard could be acolytes,
Imperial Guard With Warrior weapons could be Cultists
However you may well get your wish as some rules for certain inquisitor Characters are apparently going to be in 40k, lets see how that pans out shall we? Psipher19 April 9th, 2004, 06:34 Originally posted by Deeth@Apr 8 2004, 18:24

Amen to that, Brother
they also need fully converted inquistor rules. NightFox April 9th, 2004, 10:22 sorry but i only got half of that, due to lack of punctuation. InquisitorLordMalik April 9th, 2004, 13:27 I think that, honestly, there is enough representation and fluff out there - certainly enough to make Radical Army lists quite viable;
Deamonhunters Codex
Witch hunters Codex
Relictor Entry in WD 280
And of course, there is nothing to stop you fielding characters with optional rules (read: custom designed to represent specific characters abilities).
How about acolytes with psychic powers? Look through the optional psychic powers in Chapter Approved, maybe even extend the ability to use familiars as per =I= to acolytes (lift the wargear points limit to 30 perhaps?). Look also at Rogue Psychers and Apostate Cardinals in the WH codex...
Inducted Guard Vets can be used to represent other servants, as can DCA.....the wargear limit is perhaps a trifle low, but again - optional rules.....
Cultists as Infantry - read the section in the Witch hunters Codex about Adversaries, then merely make units under the control of the =I=, rather than opposed to them - the possibilities are endless.
Now, i don't play Inquisitor (£ prohibitions) but i do like the general Fluff for the Inquisitors, the three Ordo's, and the other material represented in the vast bulk of GW literature.
What this actually means is that i am more than happy to fudge rules a little to add to the general feel of an army......as long as power balance is observed, i can't see many problems arising. Deeth April 10th, 2004, 17:07 sorry bout the lack of punctiation this is a rant not an essay and I agree out of most aspects but before cherubael was bound in the host with reliquary he blew up a friggin warhound titan InquisitorLordMalik April 10th, 2004, 19:15 sorry bout the lack of punctiation this is a rant not an essay and I agree out of most aspects but before cherubael was bound in the host with reliquary he blew up a friggin warhound titan
Indeed he did, however i'd feel very uncomfortable with something that powerful in my army, mainly on the grounds that everyone else would want something similar. Perhaps an expanded table of pscyhic powers and a more expensive version of a daemonhost?
Its easy enough to fit with fluff, so that should satisfy the most story-driven amongst us.....i'll have a re-think and do a thread at some point. | |
