After playing Hordes for a little while, I finally got the beasts book and I'm loving it so far. I've played two smaller battles with them and I did very well. So here's an attempt at a first 2k point army.

This is my first list, so I know there are some big mistakes somewhere in there, so please let me know what I could do better!My strategy here is to get enclose Morghur with the warhounds and generate some spawns while I try to ambush with the two herds with Command behind or on a flank of the enemy. I tried to balance the army out and get a good amount of magic defense while still having the possibility of a decent magic phase.

Ahh, that pesky standard... While I wouldn't normally put a standard on such a cheap unit, I wanted to make sure I won combat, although it could easily be thrown out for something more valuable.

Nice overall, cheap expendable hounds for Spawn Creation, and some real Hard Hitters too.

Id say loose the Bestigor though, they are just too slow and weak, when, compared points wise, more Minotaurs would to you far better. Possibly give them 2xHWs for lots of attacks, and take advantage of their good Init. The DOgres provide good Str for you.

Ad a Champ to the other small Herd. Look at using those 2 for Ambushing.
