Overread March 12th, 2008, 10:15 Nailpolish remover I have heard to work - but make certain that you avoid any and all contact with platic as it not only melts it, but also gives off very powerfull fumes. Other than that you could try putting the parts in the fridge overnight - the cold makes the superglue bond more brittle and with a little application of carefull pressure you can prise the parts apart Konstantin March 12th, 2008, 11:25 Thank you both, i shall try them. DavidVC04 March 12th, 2008, 14:23 I used a product called unglue or something. It'll dissolve super glue, and the varnish off of a table, I learned. Tekore March 12th, 2008, 23:31 Acetone nail polish should take it right off, as noted. Keep us updated! Tekore psichotykwyrm March 13th, 2008, 01:42 Not sure if it works for all glue, but you can soak it in Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol). It takes a little time, but its completely safe for both metal and plastics (as far as I've seen, anyway...). Konstantin March 15th, 2008, 08:55 I used some of the nail polish remover, and wow.. 2 hours after soaking i just picked my thing up and it fell apart. No effort what so ever.;Y |
