not sold on the gloss finish Stugg March 15th, 2008, 05:42 i recon it looks awsome;Y Legionnaire March 15th, 2008, 05:58 I like them :) I agree with David on this one though, a nice hit of Dullcote or another matte finish would serve these minis well. Oh, and is it just me or does the second one look like Sam Fisher.

I quite like the models. I like the gloss finish, as it makes them look... slimy to me. captianhowdy March 15th, 2008, 06:13 Like a powered armor sam fisher with leprosy...

Yess thank you, slimy is what my goal was. May have gone a bit overboard though Rabbit March 15th, 2008, 06:44 not sold on the gloss finish
Same here. With ooze and slime, you might consider applying the gloss only to those specific areas, and leaving the remainder of the model in a dull finish. In order to accomplish this, you could spray the models with a matte finish and then apply the G.W. gloss-in-a-paint-pot to the said regions for shine.
Overall, they look good. Nurgle would be proud. Hive Fleet Hydra March 15th, 2008, 06:44 yes, you may have went a little overboard. But still... thats pretty nasty. Oh god... excuse me... *Bleugh! Bleurgh!* Nicely painted models, cant wait to see the rest! captianhowdy March 15th, 2008, 07:02 Can the matte finish be used over the gloss? I have 5 marines done so far with 10 more ready, so i want to make sure I at least do the last 10 best I can omgitsduane March 15th, 2008, 09:34 I really like them, but I think maybe the edges of the armour need a little color that isn't so... green? Like a nice crisp black to seperate them slightly. Legionnaire March 15th, 2008, 09:34 Testor's Dullcote seems to work fine over gloss for me. | |
