View Full Version : You Necromunda Persona... rp252 March 16th, 2008, 03:16 Well, threads like this have been done before, but I'm keen to get to know your Necromunda Persona!
By this I don't mean who you'd like to be, or what you think your stats would be, but rather the stats, equipment and achievements of the leader of your gang! The leader of the gang is meant to represent you on the tabletop, so have at it; shout out what you have gotten up to in the dingy word of Necromunda:)
Though I have not got my gang roster with me currently, I can say that I, Jackie the Ripper (I appear to have had a sex change:)) am a close combat crazy wench with an obsession for plasma pistols and power swords! I love to jump out of vents and on top of unsuspecting Heavies, or even opposing gang leaders - I can't remember my exact stats now but will let you know as soon as I find my damned roster sheet;)
Recently been bumped up to 54mm scale after being press-ganged by an Inquisitor to join her warband. Now I take the Emperor's vengeance to all who stand before his golden throne.
Tell me. you 'munda fanatics, who are you?
Rich:) Morkai March 20th, 2008, 04:18 I'd love to contribute but unfortunately I have not actually played a game of necromunda yet and im still waiting for my gang to be delivered I don't have any real stories or models yet.
The one model I do have is a ratskin scout conversion I recently made for my escher gang. Crazy old Bob Mcgee is somewhat less than sane but he gets the job done and his scouting skills are unparalleled. I'll be sure to write a few stories about his misadventures working with my Escher gang (soon to be named) as soon as I get some games in.
Edit: Alright, my esher gang came in so now I guess my persona would be Cutthroat Kate, leader of the Defenestrators. So far she has proven herself worthy of the title by blowing away a number of foes with her trusty plasma gun. Becuase I ust started a Zombie themed Campaign with some friends most of my gangers were able to get bucketloads of experience from the first game just from blowing away piles of living dead. Granted I did lose a pair of gangers but the raw experience I gained more than makes up for it. Hopefully I'll get together with them again soon and have a few standard games. Sayomi Akimoto March 21st, 2008, 23:54 Name's Sergeant Silva of Precinct 11289. As with any other enforcer, I take a great liking to my power maul and suppression shield, but I also find the plasma pistol to be a rather trusty ally. Despite that, my relative inexperience really hinders me, and I haven't been so much help to my men as they are to me. They've really carried on the brunt of the fighting, I usually ended up getting knocked out at some earlier point and woke up to find the fight over.
I've been taken off the force however, as Inquisitor Anonyme found my assistance in rounding up a chaos cult very helpful. I've been assigned to her retinue and am currently the handler for her Cyber-Mastiff.
I hear my men are now being led by a "Sergeant Johnson" I heard he's extremely incompetent. Reports from my former subordinates tell me that he's already lost three enforcers, Corporal Mongler, Private Moot and Private Rawley. What a shame... Rork March 22nd, 2008, 00:57 'Lord' Rork never leaves home without a bolt pistol and a chainsword...and is always on the look out for a power sword. He's the kinda guy who will charge into the middle and rip things up, but is also perfectly content to sit back and blast away with the pistol of choice.
His first two advances in the current campaign were initiative, so he's pretty nimble in high places - only now is he starting to learn how to fight up close and personal. Mr Slash was starting to become dangerously efficient and showing the leader up! The_Giant_Mantis March 31st, 2008, 15:36 I've played a couple of gangs, and have loads of concepts stored up in the background..
The most fun, however, was probably the Spyrers 'led' (thanks to a leadership advance) by Victor Ulanti. Besides being quite possibly the fastest thing in the underhive (18" sprint + leap) Victor was an arrogant cad who tended towards using his sister as a human shield. Of course, since she actually had a shield, it was quite a convenient arrangement, but nonetheless meant she frequently got horribly injured while Victor merrily charged off to eviscerate unsuspecting Juves. The pair eventually retired to the spire and probably had lots of inbred babies.. :S
I really should make a new Spyrer gang.. They're seriously fun. LogicsFate May 5th, 2008, 21:01 Red Queen, Queen to her companions, doesn't have the usual prejudice against men that many of her sister do. To her even men have a place. Usually on the ground at her feet but alas.
Taking over her sisters gang, Queen had to build it from the ground up. The gang itself was disbanded, and the territory that they had be pushed to was sadly ineffective reduced to just a few old ruins. Ushering in new recruits in a routine fashion. Even offering a Cawdor juve a chance at revenge when she was denied by her own clan for being a girl. Thus earning the local cawdors the hatred of this fledgling gang.
Queen, bringing with her the knowledge some of the local vent systems knew that to survive her first strike had to be strong and decisive. It had to put her gang on the map lest they fade into obscurity.
Picking the right place and the right time she organized an ambush of the local arbite squad. A pitched battle ended with a route of the arbites and the capturing of their plasma gunner.
The Arbite struck twice, another of their number being captured and they were pushed back again and again.
Now Queen rests, two new slaves at her feet and her gang equip with the most powerful weapons and equipment.
Her gang is ready, they have to be now that their stasis among the local gangs has increased wildly and having gained the eternal hatred of the local Arbites.
Till the next struggle.
Hi every one! Just started my first real campaign. The first three game were against Arbites.
1st Game
Ambush as I had slightly less gang rating. I lost half my gang(all recovered fine one against the odds) but was able to wound enough Arbites that I could keep everyone pinned down till he bottled. Stupid Armor save. Captured his plasma gunner.
2nd Game
Hired a Ratskin scout(best decision ever) and got put on defense. His Mastiff(sp?) ate a juve and attacked the ratskin though due to increases toughness he survived and sounded the alarm. Next round Heavy sustained fire wounding three of his 5. Ratskin goes down. Another round for him to try to kill my heavy standing there with a thoroughly broken stubber and he quite. I capture his shield/power mace arbite.
His Sarg. hates my entire game.
3rd Game
He forfeits.
My XP goes through the roof. Wolf Lord Herby May 19th, 2008, 01:13 My name is Al. My men, they call me Offendi. My group of nomads, the Hivers, they call us Al's Vagrants. I carry my tried and tested Plasma Pistol, and not so tested Power Sword. My friends, they say I look like the famous Tallarn Al'Raheem.. I take this as a compliment. In my troops, I favour quality over quantity, I have to, as we Ash Waste Nomads are so few in number. However, having recently lost two of my best marksmen to the Heavy Stubbers of the Delaque gang, 'The Cordeones', I am suffering somewhat. However, I still have H'Leen, my Long Rifleman, who they call, The One Man Army. Though he lost an eye recently, and is not so sharp as usual. We use almost all Lasguns, as anything else, they jam in the deserts and become useless. Also, is very hard to convert Tallarn models to carry shotguns. The_Ghost May 23rd, 2008, 08:40 Luke Delano: Meltagun, frag grenades, knife.
Luke is not one of your typical 'in your face' gang leaders, he prefers to blast OTHER people in the face from a distance with his 'mega burna'. He leads the Children by virtue of being the only fully ranked survivor of the 'Steel Skulls' gang. luke has a very caviler attitude towards life, he tends to use very reckless but effective tactics like having himself and his two ranking officers go off to play 'kill teem'.
Having successfully led an ambush of a group of Delaque bastards who tried to contest his claim on the Old Blackwell dome, he claimed full control of the access tunnels and vent systems. Took the Delaque down with a volley of three grenades from his command teem. Took two of the rivals captive and stole their gear before he sold them into slavery.
The Delaque made a last ditch attempt to save their buddies from the auction block, but with several of their best fighters to injured to participate they didn't do well. Luke took one of the juves aside and popped him one in the jaw laying him out flat, and the rest of the fight went much the same. One of the other Delaque's died from a burst from the heavy's flamer and after that the Black Serpent's were more or less finished.
About this point Luke signed a ratskin scout to help with surveying the dome he took a pride of place in their next fight against an interfering group of Arbitese. Knowing full well that it was the biggest threat luke zeroed in on the cyber attack dog. it took three shots but the melta put the puppy to bed. Genades and their own power maul brought down the others and the lawmen decided to cut their losses and beat feet. The scout mixed it up with the Arbitese leader for three rounds and managed to knock her down which broke the enemy resolve.
The next battle was against Bothari's Breakers. The BB's had lots of guns, but so did the Children and whats more they still had plenty of grenades. Despite that the children took losses and couldn't press their advantage enough to win the day. Luke went down in a hail of auto-canon shots, he lived despite loosing an eye.
The next battle a group of Escher toughs stalked into one of the Settlements and called out anyone who had the stones to face them. They couldn't have picked a worse time. Jessy, Bertha, Lilah, Luke, and Joeseph were the ones minding the store and came out to see what the trouble was. After stalking forward until they were only about five yards apart one of the Valkerie's finally whipped out her pistol and started shooting. Things rapidly went south after that with dozens of holes blown in the surrounding walls and a transformer melted to slag knocking out power to a fourth of the settlement for a week.
Still when it was over Escher juves had been given the smack-down they so richly deserved and one of them was in custody.
This led into the next fight. Bertha, Jessy, Lilah, Angie, Kalie, and Annabel were sent to negotiate Sonya's release to her own people and ended up cutting a special deal. in exchange for Sonya's release the Valkerie's would make an alliance with the Children, but to prove they meant it they would have to help the Valkerie's put a world of hurt on their arch rivals the BB's. Despite having a less than stellar track record against that gang Bertha decided that they should give it a shot and the two gangs set out to put the bite on one of the Breakers operations. The Breakers operated a gambling establishment out of an abandoned transit station on the edge of their turf. The Valkerys took the front while the Children's 'better half' locked down the rear. Caught in a pincer maneuver the Bothari's toughs had no choice but to hoof it out through the tunnels.
In the round of trading after the battle the Valkerie's came up with a bionic Eye which flipped to their new allies for a 10% markup. With luke now having vision in both sockets again things were looking up, but thats where the real world comes crashing back in. The campaign broke up with the organizers moving out of the area. since then the Children of Steel have sat on the shelf or been subsumed into my IG forces so thats where we leave it. Xerxes June 5th, 2008, 12:04 I am (perhaps unsurprisingly) Xerxes!
Xerxes is a fast-talking Delaque whose birth in a predominantly Cawdor area of Hive City imbued him with a degree of fanaticism for the Imperial Creed. After falling foul of the local Cawdor security guards while trying to "acquire" funds and equipment for a missionary expedition into the further reaches of the Underhive, his association with the Kalamari brotherhood threatened House Delaque's contracts with House Ko'Iron and he was exiled to the Underhive.
Once there, he set about establishing a mission of exploration in the name of the Emperor, his oratory bringing in a mixture of the impressionable and those who wanted the wealth and fame he promised them. He thus ended up with a mixture of naive and greedy gangers, all of which he failed to notice in his desire to spread the word of the Emperor by force throughout the Underhive. | |
