Considering the new rules allowing you to shoot characters outside units are they still a feesable choice. Considering they are expensive in points are they worth it.

I just bought the models because they are great models IMO and give me an extra character for my DoW and a decent looking slayer character but I was wondering if they are any good as a unit?

Gotrek and Felix are heavy investment, 475 pt for a skimisher unit of size 2 with only 5 wound in total makes they weak against missle fires, I wont use it unless protected with another skimisher unit at front. On the plus side, together they can kill some of the most powerful Lord level heros and special characters in a single turn. I wont use it unless it is a 3000+ pt game.
