Just curious to know what the best deal, $$$ -wise, you've ever gotten for 40K models is.

I'll mention mine once some people post a few.

I once got a Dark Eldar jetbike for about $4, the store had an old Leman Russ fpr $10 but someone else snagged it.

Long ago the store in town that carried 40K liquidated their stock at 50% normal price. That was about five years ago though.

i told this story before but for you who have not read it.

I ordered ten SM scouts from GW phone order. When the package arrived turned out they had sent me ten Eldar rangers. So naturally i rang to complain and they sent me out the ten SM scouts for free. Cheapest deal ever. :D made by the fact that i did not have to return the eldar rangers.

I got a Land raider, free in a drawing.

My friend had some old Space Marines that he had before he decided to go Eldar, so as an incentive to get me started in the game he gave me 2 tactical squads and a Landspeeder for FREE.

some seller one ebay once sent me the package twice! that was really nice, i never heard of him again!

Ok, here goes my deal, and my total warhammer spending to date, for what it's worth. ALSO, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ANY OF THE MODELS, CONTACT ME! I AM SELLING EVERYTHING NOT ALREADY SOLD FOR VERY CHEAP!

I buy a nicely painted black templars army on ebay for $180. It consists of:

2 ten man tactical squads
ten man scout squad
ten man assault squad
7 man terminators squad (metal)
4 bikes and an assault bike
4 man devestator squad (metal)
land speeder typhoon (metal and plastic)
2 dreads, (1 metal)
land raider crusader
chaplain
librarian

then, I turn around and sell the scout squads, assault squad, terminators, bikes, devestators, and land speeder for $240 right on ebay, (I've still got the command squad, tac squads, dreads, and land raider up there... they're going for cheap if anyone wants a look... my seller id is dumbuket

I use the profits to buy a fully painted tyranid army for $180, consisting of:

Finally, for another $100 dollars, I got a nicely studio painted set of 5 Grey Knight Terminators and Inquisitor Coatez with a 6 man retinue. Not cheap, and to make matters worse, I don't particularly want him either, since he is neither 15 feet tall nor covered with talons. If anyone wants to make an offer, I'll sell him for less than I paid.

I think I can sell most of those two and keep the cycle going.

Just wanted to brag. Also, if you're interested in anything you see here on the tyranid list or the unsold Space Marine list, I can sell it to you for real cheap, (i.e. well painted land raider for $35, ten man tac squads for $20, 16 hormagaunts for $20, etc. Prices still negotiable. Who knows, maybe the best deal you'll get might be with me?

I got a Greater Daemon for $15. So far thats the best deal I've gotten in my 5 months of active playing.

I got 32 Hormagaunts for the price of 16 from GW Mail Order. :D

Not too long ago I ordered a number of random minnies from GW. A few necromunda Jewvs and a number of Gonts Ghosts, about 20 in total. These were going to be my New Ash waste nomad gang (converted to be using gas masks).
Back on topic, When I received them two models were on back order so I was waiting to receive them in a week or two, but when they arrived it was the complete order. So I got about 18 models for free. :D

A non-GW deal that rocked.
Five years ago I was at a local swap meet (flea market) around closing time. I came across a vendor that had allot of fantasy miniatures and models. I was very interested but only had a few dollars on me so I wanted to make it count. After browsing a bit the loud speaker signaled that the market was closing in 10 min. After that the guy just said, "I'll give you all of this for 5 bucks." I about shat myself, I paid the man right then and he started loading it into boxes for me.

While i was back east i found 3 extreamly old Stormtrooper Heavy Weapons Squads. (If anyone know's were i could aquire more of them i would be extreamly thank full :D .) Other than that if found a few of what i belive to be roge trator marines, and a old heav' metal pating book for only $20!
