I'm trying to decide on another Fantacy army and can't decide between the High Elves and the Bretonians. Unlike 40k I'm not very good at fantacy. (Don't know why)

At any rate I like to make out a list first and decide if its workable before I buy models. Please give your critasisms and comments. I made it vague because i want you guys to feel free to tell me to ad stuff or take it away.

For Bretonnia i don't like all the other knights or any special choice to be exact. I want to out number my opponant with as many units as possable. (since my opponant choses who goes first any way) I also like the idea of 3 flying heros that can eather Mage hunt/character hunt, Warmachine hunt or hit units in the flank.

Thanks in advance for you comments.

I wouldn't advise all those Paladins and Lords mounted on monterous mounts. They can't join units and are easy for your opponent to pick off with artillery. I'd put your Lord on a barded horse (safer, better save) and stick him with the Knights of the Realm. Stick your other Paladins all on foot and inside different Men-at-Arms units. With the points you save, look into picking up a Grail Relique unit (peasant heavy seems to be the direction you are going).

One other suggestion would to buff up the skirmishing peasant bowmen unit.

i'm preaty sure any knight that has a vow can not join another unit that dose not have the same vow so u can't put ur paladins with the men at arms i could be wrong though

The reason they connot join other units is because they are flyers.

I would recommend Pegasi, though if you dont like them fair enough.

Have the Paladins on normal Horses, and have them join Cav units. For the Realm Knights, id advise 2 units of 8 + a Character in each, or 7 + Paladin + Damsel if you like.

Errantry, take 9 with FC and the Errant banner.

Not a huge Trebuchet fan, but if you are going wih a mostly Pesant force then they can be good.

Ok, getting the hero's off flying mounts is do able. What should i do for warmachine hunting and or fast flank attacking. I want mobility and don't thing that the mounted pesants can do the trick.

I could change one of the men-at-arms units to a grail relique if you think that their worth it. Also any good hero configuations. As in mounts, magic idems and vows?

Apart from your Lord, i prefer to keep Characters cheap, just mundane gear. I think Spec would be best to advise on a Lords Gear.

Not a fan of the Grail Reliquae to be honest, basically expensive peasants.

Id use units of 3 Pegasi for WM hunting.

the odd unit of Mounted Yeomen can be good too, being Fast Cav.

For warmachine hunting, 3 Pegasus Knights will work fine. Some people like to bump them up to 5, but that gets to be expensive.

As for good character set-ups, what are you looking for each character (duelist, rank and file killer, ect.)?

@ Mortalsoup: The vow hierarchy is as follows: Grail > Questing > Knight's. A unit of Questing Knights can't be joined by a character that doesn't have the Questing Vow or higher, and a unit of Grails can only be joined by a character with the Grail Vow. A Paladin can join a unit of peasants (on foot) if he takes the Virtue of Empathy.

To be honest i have no special attachment to this list or to any on character set up. Though i like the idea of a Lord that runs around the battle field challenging any thing he sees. If you guyes have any better ideas for a list Let me know.

I really like flying units, and if i don't put by lord on a hippogryph then do you think it would be a good idea to put him i a unit of pegasess knights and have alot of them or more then one smaller units?

Thanks again for the input.
