Looking for anyone who plays in or near Reading, PA or anywhere in or around Berks County, Pennsylvania. I have an almost completely painted Daemonhunter army. My son has a Space Marine army that is not completely painted (he likes spending ALOT of time customizing his marines). I know there is a store we can play at or I have a huge table in my basement with a whole bunch of custom made terrain.

HELP! I need someone else's army to destroy other than my son's! I am so desparate for new players I'm teaching my five year old how to play. He plays 'Nids but has absolutely no tactical skills yet and his attention span is about half a turn. He's fun to play against, by literally cries when he loses.

There's a little place down in Bethlehem that has WH40k, not sure when the next tourney is, but if you stop by or call they should be able to tell you the next time they'll have at least social WH.

It looks like I have to drive either one hour north and an hour south to find a club. Thinking about starting one.

Okay so mostly the best place to play 40K in PA is up here towards NEPA here in Easton/Whitehall/Allentown area we have Portal/HobbyTownUSA/The Encounter and about 3-4 more small gatherings at other comic shop's.

Is that Warhammer you are playing?
My son(22) and I are just getting started into the world of minis. We both felt that MMORPGs have done all they can for us.
So, now we can use our own creativity in the painting and terrain designs.
We are not rdy atm to get involved in battles, but would like to get together and see some gameplay.

I see here I forgot to mention we are in Berks County, PA. Green Hills area.

i too have been lookng for 40k players in Berks/Lebanon

the only places i know that do any table top gaming are the Hobbytown USA, a group of gamers in Palmyra that relocated to near the Lebanon Walmart and Golden Eagle Comix but they only deal with Warhammer fantasy.

i do occassionally see people gaming (about 6 or so with 40k and WHF) or buying GW product at the HTUSA, but it is very sparse. Every time i am there i ask about gamers and they never give me a good response. I would definately be up for a gaming club that plays there or a designated location.

I am currently working on my Eldar and Death Guard Armies but i have a playable SM army from 3rd ed. i have quite a few WIP armies so if i ever get them playable i can bring alot of varied armies.

I have not had many games since 3rd ED so i am very rusty but i dont mind losing ( i dont think i have actually won a game ever hah. )

What I am considering is to create a web site that will allow folks in the Berks county area to sign up, post info about their army (pictures, records, fluff, etc) and have a means to contact each other to set up games. The Hobby Town in Reading doesn't have games anymore (the table is now a shelf for toy trains). But if there are a dozen or two players in the area that could set up individual games at their house from time to time - that should fulfill the WH40K addiction.

When I get the web site set up I'll post it in this forum and on other boards.

maybe a sign or sign-up sheet at the HTUSA so players know there is something going on.

perhaps ill ask them if the tables could be used for gaming if the store had regular players and if they would support a local group by letting them play and hang information. if they really want to get players they need to have a tourney, nothing RT or 'ard boyz level but atleast something to attract some players.

**update**

i went over to HTUSA and asked them about the gaming table, they informed me that the group that was playing there was in the process of redoing it but never came back to finish it. i asked if they would allow a gaming group to use the table and they said they would let a group use the space and that fliers could be hung in the store displaying information about it.

i also got myself another CSM box so i can do my first squad of FW Plague Marines.

OK, here we go!

I'm starting an informal club for Berks County. Here is the site: <br>Berks Warhammer 40K (http://berkswarhammer40k.blogspot.com/)

I just talked to the guy at HTUSA and dropped off some flyers for berkswarhammer40k.blogspot.com . He said that he was considering removing the table because it's taking space and nobody is using it. So it looks like we better start using it.

All we need to do is call them up and arrange a time with them to use the board (obviously, during store hours).

Last time I checked, Reading was in the UK :-)

Would be up for it, I'm in Ealing, but I doubt my wife would appreciate me leaving her in the middle of labour!
