Trying to get my list ready for the upcoming 'Ard Boyz qualifier. As you can see I am running a mixed BoC and HoC list with Gothor in the lead. So without much else to say about it heres the list:

Alot of my selection has to do with the models I have at hand (ie the minotaurs not having great weapons). I also like the idea of not having any models slower then movement 5.

Does the Lord on Dragon really need MoN? The Dragon causes terror anyway, and its an expensive Mark.

Id give the Maru Cav Flails over spears and shields.

I think id drop 2 of the Tusk Chariots, and get a second Chaos Chariot, as well as a few more Warhounds in a second unit of 6 if you can.

Tbh a list of other models you have would be good so we can see what options we have to work with.

I think it would be easier just to list the other models I have available to use.

Hm, well from what you have i think you made the right unit choices. Just look at the Lord on Dragon again, specifically his wargear. Im not sure quite what to advise, depends what riole you want him in really.

Look at getting in that second Bray Shaman, with either 2 more scrolls, or the Power Familiar.

Run the Shamen with BeastHerds, and have the Bestigor 18 Strong in 6x3 formation.

Like the idea for the bestigors. I would also love to run another shaman but lack the points and not sure I'd want to give up any of my units for a scroll caddy.

The job I've envisioned for my Lord on dragon, is to engage high threat targets (hellblasters and the like), elite units or hvy calvary without alot of compete resolution, or characters I think he can handle 1x1. Failing that I would move him to the enemies flank and use him to try and roll up multiple units or against shooty armies have him storm up the middle and take out a unit towards the center and hopefully get another unit or 2 running with panice and terror.
