I havent seen much at all for them. Is there an alternative to just fielding 10000000 warriors?

No.

But really, yes. There are immortals (+), Destroyers (long range), Heavy Destroyers (one long range ), etc, there is a lot more than you may think ;)

Don't post stats. ~LN

hehe!

I read this and just found it funny. Not poking fun at anyone... I play Necrons. I remember when Apoc was first gearing up... I was hoping for some Cron lovin but well... ya.

Well, instead of 10000000 Crons, you could field 965950 Liths! :) And some warriors for a Phase Out number, just keep these hidden and safe lol.

Flayed ones could work well...

Imagine how many scarabs you could have

Course you could buy a couple of Pylons... maybe 6 and then Deep Strike them all over the place. Would be fun to watch.

That as well as countless 'Liths - Who needs Warriors in Apoc?

played a 10,000 on 10,000 Apoc game with two 4x8 tables together long sides...

Two of us were space marines...the others were Necrons.

I looked across the table at 2 people fielding 10,000 pts in Necrons..
we got two Pylons AND four 'liths deep struck, they had so many scarabs on the board, they used wooden disks (40mm sized) to proxy. (They fielded like 1000 points in scarabs) all with D-field because they knew I play tank heavy.

needless to say, we didn't win...the Necrons cleansed the planet.

Sadly even Apoc won't let you field multiple C'Tans of the same name.

But yeah ... mass numbers of squads that are simply Immortals + Res Lord alongside tons of monoliths and scarabs = ftw.

Actually you can field multiple C'Tans in Apocalyse. Apocalyse ignores all restrictions and limits for all races

Really? So you could field 10 Abbadons or 20 Mephistons or what have you? I understand that Apoc gives you a lot more room but does it really let you take more than one unique character?

Something tells me that you can't :?

Anyways, it would be rather pointless if you'd go out and buy like, 1000 Abaddon's just for the sake of fielding them in an Apoc. game. Proxying them would be just plain boring IMO with the idea of facing just multiples of special characters.

If multipe characters are allowed in apoc. games then the expansion to the original 40K game would be broken, thus making Apoc. less fun to play...

appoc gave some of my step sons necrons new life, specificaly his scarabs, in normal battles he rarely bothers, but in appoc he takes many small (4 base) squad with d fields, memorably his firsst appoc game against a store manager, he faced off against an army including 2 bane blades and a hell hammer, turn 1 blind barage potected him, then he charged the super heavies with the scarabs and glanced their weapons off

...well no,

but you could field Abbadon AND Mephiston as they are 2 separate characters.

Just as you could field the Nightbringer AND the Deceiver as they are 2 separate characters...

so if by multiple C'tans you mean 'first multiple of 1' then you're right :C

Hey,

Apocalyse ignores all restrictions and limits for all races

Apocalypse only includes rules for Flyers, Super-heavies, Formations, etc.
Unit composition and rules of play are still subject to the RB/Dex definitions.
So, 40kA actually ignores *no* (non-FOC) limits or restrictions for any race.

You can take any number of Codex-legal Units you like, but 2+ Abaddons isn't legal -
Codex: CSM p91 says the seven Named HQs are "Individual Characters".
IE, Each may only be included once in any CSM army.

That said, the Cron Dex is from 2002, iirc, so it may not have this provision.
But with D weapons on the board, it may not have to . . .

-The God of all Machines

83 full 10 Base Units of Scarabs without Disruption

830!! With points to spare really...

62 full 10 Base Units of Scarabs with Disruption

620!!

Thats alot of freaking Scarabs. I think the only thing they couldn't kill is big monstrous stuff. Vehicles and most infantry would be overrun.
