Scar Leader Kroq-Gar is a Special Character, thus no additional magic items, equipment and sacred spawnings may be brought for him.

He must be fielded with everything he has on his unit entry with nothing more.

A unit can only take what options it has in its unit entry in the rulebook. Since he doesn't have the option to take the blessed spawning of the old ones, he can't take it :)
