Well, this is part "Show off my army" and part "Shameless advertising", but anyways. Finally got around to finishing my IG army, but I discovered in the course of developing the list that as much fun as it was to convert and paint I can't stand playing the damn thing. So I made the difficult decision to post the army on eBay Imperial Guard Army 1800 Painted + Case - eBay (item 150238805688 end time Apr-25-08 18:38:25 PDT) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150238805688&_trksid=p3907.m32&_trkparms=tab%3DSelling). But even as much as I dislike playing the army, I'll always love the way it turned out.

Well the pictures are pretty blurry so its hard to make out much of the fine detail, but from what I can see those miniatures look awesome. You have some really nice conversion work done and some pretty goo use of forgeworld parts there too. It too bad you assembled the army and painted it so nicely before you figured out it wasn't for you, but I guess thats the way things are sometimes. I'd keep a favorite model or two as a reminder if I were you, but thats just my pack rat nature.

Very very cool. Pics are a bit blurry but i can see there was a lot of effort put in. Too bad i have no money otherwise i'd buy them in an instant.

Dont wanna swap for a fully converted ready to paint 1500pt slaanesh renegade army do ya? :) I got pics if your interested.

Earl.

I think that it's quite a nice paint job, from the pictures I can't really be sure. I can see that the freehand is a little shakey in places; it may upset potential buyers.

I was wondering, those Guard, did you custom make them,(the saddles/legs) or did you purchase them? I'm looking to getting a unit of kaskrin or something similar to put atop cold ones for my star wars IG army ( stormtroopers on Dewbacks)

The freehand work doesn't look the greatest close up, but passes the 3ft test pretty well. The army can generally draw someone's eye from across the gaming store.

As for the cold one riders, I used the old Fantasy Empire Pistolier legs (the metal ones) which thanks to GW "rearranging" bitz ordering you can't get. I'm not sure if the new plastic ones will work as I haven't seen them.

it's a shame man, brilliant paintwork, i know how you feel with the playing though, i borrowed my mates IG army once and just couldn't wiat to lose the game and go back to my georgeus Tau and the 5 tanks that go with it.
