So I was thinking what kind of Bret character might fare well in the Arena of Death (over in fantasy battle reports where characters duke it out).
See what you think of this.
Lord, Grail Vow, Virtue of the Ideal, shield, Birth-sword of Carassonne, Gromil Great Helm
Here's my thinking based on following the arenas, rolling up several of the matches, and writing up some, too.
Characters that do well tend to have several things in common. Strong armor, a ward save, high strength, and rerolls.
This guy has a 1+ armor save and a 6/5+ ward save. Weapon Skill 8 with 5 attacks at Strength 5. Excellent initiative. He rerolls his own armor saves and forces the enemy to do the same.
The problem is that the limit for points is 250, which I think should be changed for Brets as it is for some other armies. Even another 20 points would make Brets a better option. Anyhow. So what do you Bret-saavy people think of this guy for taking on enemy characters?
