This is my Avatar of Khaine that is finally on it's way to completion after stripping the old paint job. So what does everyone think? I have already done more work on it since taking the picks such as painting the tabard white and adding some freehand. More pics to follow, comments and criticism are much appreciated.

looking very good :>
just curious about the chinese character ("not yet, future" that sort of thing right?) there, whats the idea behind it? ;>
and does your whole army go with the same concept or is this a stand-alone project?

ok scheme pretty much standard, and looks reasonably well executed, I would add that the picis are a little blurry (I asume the camera was hand held?) so har to tell on detail, but there are are one or two bits I would pick out-
more highlighting on the sword handle
transition on helmet "wings" looks a little blotchy

Thanks for the comment, not entirely sure what you mean by the Chinese character, if you are talking about the one on the head then it was already sculpted on their so i only had to paint it. The Avatar is also a stand alone project, I wanted to show the rage and hatred that was coming from his body, hence the fire scheme. My eldar army actually has a saim-hann type scheme.

LOL, sorry for the short response i had to go into a meeting.
While i'm here- i like the choice of colours. I'm not really a good enough to give crits so i'll say this. Have you considered a resin lava base? I mounted my Avatar on one and it looks really cool. I can imagine the earth heating and cracking underneath him. Just adds to it nicely.
Good work, enjoy the weekend ppl :drinking:
