Hey. I just created 2 different lords for my army and I was wondering if these are good combos or if they are illegal. I really appreciate the help.

Bretonnia Lord #1
-w/Grail Vow, Royal Pegasus, Enchanted Shield, Gromril Great Helm, Lance, Birth-Sword, Virtue of Purity (rerollable 2+ AS, 5+ ward, rerollable enemy AS, S7 on the charge and good against anything thrown against him.)

or

Bretonnia Lord #2
-w/Grail Vow, Royal Pegasus, Enchanted Shield, Gromril Great Helm, Lance of Artois, Virtue of Purity, Guantlet of Duel (2+ AS, 5+ ward, S6 on charge with killing blow, plus the Guantlet of Duel to go after characters.)

either one will be with a squad of 4x pegasus knights with a gallant, and there job is to fly around and either support or flank and rear charges, go after warmachines, or to go after any nasty characters and creatures (aka Dragons, Deamons, etc.) Cheers :drinking:

I don't play brets, but what I can tell you is he can't be in a unit with the pegasus knights, just has to do with the monstrous or flying mounts rules about joining units, otherwise, cool.

For one they are both illegal. You cannot have armour (gromril) and a shield (enchanted) at the same time. It's one or the other.

Also, a Duke/Paladin cannot join pegasus knight unit. Ever. So don't try it. :P

Pegasi are fun for when you have that urge to field multiple units of pegasus knights, but other than that, not so much. The problem is that their 12" leadership is going to be wasted as they are too busy flying around whacking things and march-blocking.

However, they would work great as Paladins. Granted, you'd have to lose a few magic items, but it's a small price to pay for doing what you want.

Than again, you could always just field them and say to hell with what's accepted as normal. Just ask yourself do your units really need that leadership? Well, of course they do, but you'd rather have fun, right?

Thanks for the replys. Thats my bad about the pegasus knight rule, though it kinda sucks :(, Hopefully they change that when they are redone. All well, here are 2 other lord combos I made and he will be running with a KOTR unit. I'll also be posting my army list as soon as I can. Cheers :drinking:
