Gday,

I;d just like to echo concern for the errors this site seems to continually have. Today, more database errors and such.

I spent like an hour typing up some more of the Beasts tacica, only the click 'post topic' and have an error occur, pretty much erasing my work. Lesson learnt, save my work, but still annoying.

C'mon guys! Why make Librarium such a damn addictive site, when I can't satisfy the craving when I need to! :D Can anything be done at all?

Tim

Yeah I've had something similar happen to me before, but I always type my posts in notepad first if they are going to be bigger than a paragraph.

I dislike the errors too but I dunno what they can do about it.

It's annoying for everyone, but I can tell you that solutions are being worked on :)

One thing that is so bad about the errors is that people coming here for their first time, either referred or found off of google, wont be able to access the site, and therefore might go join a competing site, which is stifling to a forum community in my opinion. I hope the site becomes more reliable, For the Greater Good!

Once we know more about the problems going on and how we are going to approach fixing it, we will make sure to update everyone. All we ask is that you please be patient; the problem is known and it is being actively worked on. :)

This may sound odd, but did you try the 'back' button? Even when an error has occurred you should be able to get back to your post.

Fixing it really isn't that hard imo.

Upload a new style, add all the mods and hacks, switch to the new style as default. It's possible some of the hacks added and removed have had snippets of code left around that cause the cock ups.

I've had this on my site before actually, it's only a few hours work reinstalling all the hacks etc.

I upgraded the forum last night to the 370gold and all the templates was reverted.

As Blackhat and Stonehambey note, the problems are being addressed.

Blackhat is upgrading and also looking deeper for what's causing some of the persistent problems.

This will take a w hile as the script will examine LO's performance over time.

Once this is done, we're looking at upgrading the server, if deemed necessary.

I know it's frustrating. Look at my post count, I'm a true junkie. It throws off my entire routine to have the site down!

But trust us, we're after the issue, and in the most concerted way to date. :)

yep. everything still got erased.

Thanks guys, I'm sure it's being addressed, just thought I say how disapointing it is when I get the old 'an error has occured blah blah' from IE..I nearly cry! ;)
