I’m been playing 40k now for 11 years and I’m now considering getting into fantasy. Problem is I’m a conversion fanatic my 40k armies consist of..
‘The Grot Rebellion’ Guard army,
‘The Darkmakers’ Undead Chaos army,
‘The Zanatorians’ Mechanicus Necron army.

All stand out from normal armies and I’m trying to think of some good and unique converted army ideas for my fantasy army. I saw an Ogre Kingdoms army converted for a Japan theme it was awesome.

So I hoping some of you can give me a few examples of converted fantasy armies and then hopefully I’ll be able to come up with my own idea?

I am currently putting finishing touches to a Dogs of War army that represents the army of a sultan of Araby. Some of the units are simply unusual painting schemes, such as Chaos marauders and Kislev horse archers painted as tribal Southland warriors, but ive also made heavy cavalry (cataphracts) paymasters bodyguard (scimitar wielding guard) and duelists (assassins) with judicious use of empire, high elf, tomb kings parts and green stuff.

In a way it can be more daunting to do a fantasy army that is heavily converted due to the number of figures in the army! but ive seen some great ideas. I think it was the Paint Monkey who did a pirate Ogre Kingdoms force, there were pics up at some point on LO.

I love seeing imaginative WHFB armies, go for it!
