Hello all,

My buddy asked me to help him come up with an Empire List for him - so here goes. Seeing I like themed armies I based it on a Templar idea.

Templar GM - Sword of Justice,Dawn Armour, Shield,Holy Relic - 245

Warrior Priest - Sword of Striking, Ench. Shield, Sigil of Sigmar, Hvy Armour, - 153
Barded Warhorse

Warrior Priest - Hammer of Judgement,Armour of Meteoric Iron, Shield - 156
Barded Warhorse

Captain - Plate Armour,Shield,Sword of Battle,Doomfire Ring, Pegasus - 155

Core

5 Knights (FC) WP here - 155
5 Knights (FC) WP here - 155
15 Huntsmen - 150
20 Flagellants - 200

Special

5 Inner Circle Knights (FC) Templar GM here - 170 - Add Banner of Arcane Warding 300
6 Pistoliers with Musician - 115
6 Pistoliers with Musician - 115
20 Flagellants - 200

Total 1999

DD 2+2+3MR.

Thanks in advance

First, very cool list man, I think that this list has a lot of potential fluff wise and even game wise. However, I do feel like there are a couple of things off. For example, I am not too sure about the Flagallents. Yeah, sure they go w/ the warrior priests and such but really, it seems like you have a really well trained army here (consisting of either Veteran Knights, Knights or Knights-in-Training). A band of half-starved self-mutilating middle aged men preaching the end of the world isn't exactly befitting of the command of the Templar. What you might want to think of doing instead is either beefing up the units you do have and taking another unit of knights or even outriders or maybe even taking a standard block of state troops who act as the rear guard. Other than that, I would say consider taking the Dawn Armour instead of metoric since you get the most for your points. Good job!

Thanks for the reply.

Hmm - I see your point, I will pass on your comments to my friend. as it is his army. Now if I can only figure out my own Orc Army - lol

Thanks

Since you are going with a templar list anyway, why not a mounted BSB? Somehow when i think templars i think banner flapping in the wind....

Also take the AOMI off your warrior priest. if you five him heavy armour with the same stuff on he'd have a 2+ save anyway, and twenty odd points less.

I agree that the flagellants are off topic. Replace one unit with greatswords to reflect the elite status, or a big block of swordsmen to represent templar men at arms

Personally i'd drop one of the units of pistoliers to make your three knight units bigger (and more survivable)

As for Orcs its simple......big blocks with two choppas works wonders, although my dwarves will still massacre puny greenskins anyday
