So me and a couple of friends are going to use special characters like lord kroak and all that stuff. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to protect Lord Kroak he's 12** something points almost half of my army (3000 pnts). Should I put him in my unit of 20 TG or do something special because I don't want to lose him anytime soon.

Kroak in 20 TG would be a lot of points but a bad ass unit! Just watch out for fear and terror :C

If you mount a saurus scar-vet on a colone and stick him in that unit, I'm pretty sure you would be immune to fear, and not many terror causers will be able to outnumber you.

The flaw in this is that they can simply kill the Scar vet (enchanted shield and/or Aura of Quetzl could help to mitigate this). Better then no fear protection though.

Saurus warriors with Tlazcotl instead of TG? Solves the fear/terror issue but you are no longer stubborn. I like the CO idea but it seems like a bit of a waste of a character slot. Seeing as how the big toad already takes up 2 slots, it doesnt leave you with much to play with.

Stick a Scar Vet with totem of prophecy in there for fear immunity and a good amount of Unit Strength from 19 TG, Scar vet and Kroak (25US) you will break alot of units. Take the default spell in Lore of Beasts to boost your scar vets resilience.

You have cold blooded ld9 for panic, stubborn ld8 with a standard for combat and the unit causes fear.

I don't know where this has come from either, it's not in the rules I have!

yeah I guess they just want to make Kroak uber powerful, he already is by generating 1 free D6 with every cast

Out of interest, can you use Kroak in 2000 points? Just he just count as 1 Lord choice? I had an idea of just Kroak and loads of Skinks as a fun 2000 point army. Is it tournament legal though?

Kroak is 1 Lord/Hero/Rare. He is tourney legal.
