Awesome painting, although not strictly Dark Angelic... But I like it whatsoever!

Nice.

What colour are you using for the exposed metal there?

Whoa - NMM Dread that is painted in pieces. Good Sir - I think that you will do a fine job here. And I must say, you have a lot of patience there. I hope it will fare well in battle!

For the nmm i used: P3 Bastion Grey, then applied a wash with Vallejo Burntcad Red , then a wash with Snakebite Leather, Later added an additional wash of mixed Armour Wash (p3) and Scab Red - so that it looks more reddish.
After shading, started highlighting. 1st highlight , mixed bastion grey with Hawk Turquise, so that it still looks kinda grey, and started highlighting white, in several layers, up to clean white.

For the bony parts I used P3 Hammerfall Khaki as the base, then highlighted with bleached bone and white...
Will show some more later if I manage to paint something further :)

Very nice work so far. I don't think the NMM on the steel areas (smokestacks, legs) are that convincing - way better than what I can do, but I don't get that "this is steel"-feel. I'm not sure why, but i think it could be because of the lack of reflections or the huge contrasts that usually are between light and dark on NMM.

But I do think it still looks really cool. Even though it is not perfect I still get a "wow!"-feelign when I saw it.

The gold NMM, however, looks bloody fantastic.

Keep it up and have some rep!

I think that looks very good. A small touch of grey in some of them to decipt deep scratches down to the very core would make for some nice contrast though.
