Here is a test gaunt for my new tyranid army. Sorry about the bad pic the only camera I have available to me is my phone :P The scheme is simply drybrush joints codex grey. Stipple on blood red to the upper end of limbs, head and gun. The carapace is painted by painting thin lines of Codex Grey, Fortress Grey and Bleached Bone. I was aiming for a quick and easy tabletop quality paint scheme.

I like the soft carapace but the hard carapace looks too harsh for me. A black ink and taking a bit longer on the highlights would probably sort that out though.

Hooray! A reply! Black ink wash eh? Ill try a brown ink wash (i dont have any black atm) then post pics. Also what are your thoughts on the base? ATM it is simply sand, do you think it to plain?

I'm a lazy baser but it looks fine to me. Maybe paint the rim? (desert yellow/black)
