I was just wondering if there was a way for me to avoid getting -all- of the new Trader Zone threads when I hit "New Posts"?
I'm sure there is, but I just can't for the life of me figure it out.

I was going to talk to Blackhat about this; the Ebay Man is pretty much spamming the Latest Posts section with posts that most of us aren't interested in seeing. Definitely needs to be changed.

I think there is a fix for that

I agree it is a problem. It's possible to exclude forums from the new posts link by editing the code for the navbar template, but this would mean that genuine members posting in the trader zone won't have their posts show up there.

Also, I found this (http://www.tycamtech.com/extensions/firefox/ffvb/). Haven't tried it out though

the trader zone is an extension and the ads posted there are not considered posts anyway so they will never show up except from the bottom of the forum index sidebar. I have fixed the latest posts now to exclude the trader forum so you wont see those items anymore

The ebay links are affiliate links. Sometimes the ebay man might post interesting stuff for sale and this is a nice way for you to support LO as well.

Just click the links and if you buy something and gets the winning bid then you have supported us.

Thanks Blackhat :)
It's definately easier to see actual posts now that I don't have to sort through all the Trader links :)

Well, I supported the site last night and bought some terrain from him. That means I want a back rub for as a thanks for my support. :D

Thanks for fixing that, Blackhat. It made searching the forums no fun at all to see page after page of the advertisements. As for you, Dave, I'll see if Rabbit can't come by for a bunny rub.

If possible to get it fixed on the "latest posts" bit at the bottom, that'd rock. I use that more than the "New Posts" link.

That really does not surprise me. :)

Thanks for the quick fix on this Roger, I was about to make a thread of my own about this very subject.
