Following up the post that Phoenix made, I'm assuming all of you have read the new Beasts FAQ now. If you haven't, go check it out! PhoPho's post should still be on the front of the BoC subforum.

First of all, how do you feel about the FAQ? I know I'm not too happy about a few things. I'm going to miss the Black Maul on my HoC lord and alot of the other upgrades for the Beasts characters. They decided not to give the beast herd it's boost to 5 per rank rule, so we're still out of luck when it comes to getting rank bonuses versus small frontage units.

The thing that caught my eye the most was the new Indigo Fire rules. Now you can use the rules for Horrors in the DoC book, or you can create Tzaangors. So... How many of you will take the Horrors, and how many will take Tzaangors instead?

Both have really good uses. For example. If you happen to get 6 unsaved wounds and go with Horrors, you'll have another dispel dice in your opponents next magic phase, while with the Tzaangors, you'll have a new power dice to your pool and some S6 attacks in the combat phase.

So... Horrors or Tzaangors, and why?

Tzangors! 1, theyre more beasty! (and with the splitting of the books, it makes more sense to :)) and 2, +1Pd for free, and they hit harder!

I may have to rejig my list a little, i was going to rewrite it given the lack of HoC iems anyway, ill try and get it posted tonight.

Totally agree for the reasons listed above plus they don't Crumble when they lose combat. On the other hand horrors are unbreakable.
HMMMM. The Faq doesn't state when you have to declare what your are summoning or that you have to be consistant. So as I am writing this I am seeing the strategy of understanding the benefits of summoning. I think I will go start a new thread.
