right this is my necromunda cawdor list-its quite fair and done fluff wise and hopefully fairly good to play.:)

this is how i think the cawdor would be.my tactics would involve lettin rip with2d3 plasma shots a turn, then running to catch the others up and hopefully many of my guys will make it there in one piece and rip the infidels who dare to oppose us:happy::)

Not too shabby as a concept..

I think there are a few correctables, though..

Firstly, check the rules your campaign uses for equipment. Under the house gang rules (which many people don't use, but check as some still use variants) you can't give Juves hand flamers.. It is one of the most badass combos around so it makes sense to limit it.

The main problem I can see is the lack of real cheapies.. Your Juves all cost as much as a lightly equipped ganger. You could afford to drop some of these sidearms, as you've not picked any weapons which are really really harsh for ammo. In many ways, its better to have some guys standing around with no ammo than to have everyone with a costly sidearm, but getting blasted because there's no effective screeners.

The chainsword I think is also a waste of credits in the beginning of the game. Start out with a knife or conventional sword, then, when he picks up some close combat upgrades, then switch to the chainsword. Close combat in Necromunda can be intensely random, and thus its quite a risk to be investing in expensive cc gear until you know your guys can cut it.

The other thing, grenades.. Don't neglect them, they're incredibly useful. If you want to wind up in close combat with anyone, they're pretty much essential.

also never start a gang with less than 5 gangers. Just don't, you get five teritorys and you have to be able to work every last one of them come hell or high water every time right from the get go. if you can't someone else is going to out pace your gangs equipment and numbers very fast and then it's GAME OVER.

thank you for all your comments-the hand flamer thing is right so i will drop them. i have dropped all the juves backup weapons so now i can afford another ganger. i will keep the chainsword for the simple reason that i am crap at converting and the chainsword is the weapon on the leader model- and plus its a nice looking model on a leader.

For just 15 credits more, you could drop the autopistol for some frag grenades.. Removing the chainsword isn't the be all and end all (though remember that wysiwyg doesn't work both ways, just because the model has a chainsword doesn't mean he has to have one in game, it's something you can save for later on and just leave him with a knife for now.) The reason the leader would be a good choice to carry the frag grenades though because of his higher ballistic skill, and it would fill the role of giving him a backup weapon, not to mention allowing him to pin groups before charging in to chop people up with his sword/bolt pistol combo. Remember, if everyone in a given group is pinned, they can't check to be unpinned unless they're the gang leader. Perfect opportunity for a safe charge.

This is one of those 'pick a role' moments. You get away with either giving this guy an autopistol and close combat weapon (he could support the leader, multiple people in close combat can really help the random-ness) or another shotgun. In any case, he still doesn't really need both, and that would give you the extra 15 credits needed to pick up some frag grenades. You can always buy autopistols later in the game.. As it is, they aren't going to add that much at this stage. You're generally still better off using the shotgun, even at 6".

Wait until he has the gunfighter skill before giving him two pistols. Remember, not everything in the model needs to be reflected in his equipment.

With the style of gang you look to be playing, maybe look at the Redemptionist rules as well. They get some interesting advantages (like the ability to field massive numbers of flamer templates) and all you'd lose from your current gang concept is the plasma barrage.. I think the 2 plasma gang is always an interesting concept, but do think about it.

cheers for your advice-i would probably be a good i dea to drop the stubgun on the juve and il change my list so jack has an autogun.i shoulddnt drop the autopistol on my leader tho because it will mean that he onli has a bolt pistol.not the best ammo roll.

after the first game i am going to get more basic weapons for my heavys and for my gangers
